What is an SSL certificate for?
An SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate is an electronic "passport" that establishes credentials for an online business. The digital certificate is usually applied to websites, emails, FTP, and databases so that the communications between a server and a client are encrypted.
Can a Wildcard certificate be used for a domain and all sub-domains?
Yes. The domain and all its subdomains are fully protected by its Wildcard certificate.

How is the SSL certificate renewed?
An invoice will be sent for the yearly renewal to you. Once it is paid, you will receive an email about SSL certificate enrollment steps. Please follow those steps to complete the SSL renewal.
Do you offer a certificate for multiple domains?
Our standard certificate is designated for one domain only. In other words, multiple domains need their respective SSL certificates. You can order a wildcard certificate, which can be applied to all sub-domains.
What are the validation methods?
We support email, HTTP-01, and DNS validation for SSL certificates.
How long will it take to issue the certificate?
It depends on how fast the clients respond to the validation/approval request. Both RapidSSL and QuickSSL certificates can be issued within minutes after it is approved. It usually takes 3-7 days to issue a True BusinessID® certificate, which is much more rigorous and represents as a more secured tool.
Is a multiple-year SSL certificate offered?
The SSL certificate has to be renewed yearly.
