How To Change Windows Hyper-V Default Folders to Store Hard Disk File and Virtual Machine Configuration File?
Requirements
Windows Hyper-V has default folders to store the information. The hard disk file is in "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Hyper-V\Virtual Hard Disks" and virtual machine configuration file is "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Hyper-V".
Here is a step by step guide to change the default folders if you want to store them somewhere else.
Step by Step Guide
1) Open Windows Hyper-V Manager
Windows Server 2008 Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > Hyper-V Manager.
2) Open Hyper-V Settings
Click "Hyper-V Settings" in the right side "Actions" panel.
3) Change the default folders
Change the default folders to "C:\HyperV" or what ever you want and click "Ok" button.
